Want more power in your life?
An effective leader understands "cause - effect" relationships. This month's article taps the bottom line cause for most of the results in our lives. Please carefully consider these brief points and how you can apply it to your life . . .
What is hidden gains power.
What is deliberately exposed loses power.
These apply, whether referring to secret sin or our prayer life.
In the secret place of our thoughts and imaginations, what are we starving and what are we feeding? It's a choice.
A vital aspect of the powerful "Wealth Creation" revelation I received over the last 2 1/2 years evolves around developing and releasing the power of our heart.
King Solomon told us our most important responsibility is to guard our heart with all of the focus and energy of our being. Why?
It's a place we connect with God, exercise great faith, and significantly help others.
What's in our heart is the source of effectiveness and satisfaction in our leadership . . . and can be the cause of our downfall.
We see the self-induced hardships King David endured when he didn't guard his heart. We also know at the end of his life, his saving grace was "thy word have I hid in my heart."
The dominant images in our hearts determine us.
The battle we fight is that of casting down images. Make no graven (false or inaccurate) images of God. Why? It affects our connection with Him. It also affects how we view ourselves since we are made in that image.
Images we focus on, whether good or bad, show up in our lives as behaviors and viewpoints. They can control us.
As we come into this Season, let's take inventory of the things that are hidden in our heart.
Arrest and replace those things that corrupt your heart and destroy your leadership (not connecting with God, activities and thoughts that don't respect yourself or the people in your life, etc.). Expose them until they are so weak, they have no sway in your thoughts and behavior.
Increase the intensity of the things that make you stronger in that hidden place. That's why intimate prayer is so important - God speaks to you in a language you can see. Prayer a great time (along with meditating on scripture) to clarify and strengthen the greatness in you. You gain more resolve with your purpose, dreams and goals.
This is the time of the year where the strength of your leadership is most needed. Your strength is determined by what you focus on in the hidden place of your imaginations.
You are a leader, an "awakener" of the greatness in others, a dream-maker, a dealer of hope. You bring order to chaos, abundance to scarcity, healing to brokenness.
This is who He made you. This is what you are designed to do.
Take care of the inside world and you'll have a greater impact on the outside world. Plus, it will bring greater meaning to you and those you are attached to.
God bless and completely release the greatness in you!
